International Gem Tower team traveling to India August 3rd to August 14th for the IIJS show

Date:
28 July 2011

With the International India Jewellery Show (IIJS) just a week away, the sales team for the International Gem Tower announced it will be returning to India from August 3 to 14 to attend the show, as well as other key industry events.

From August 3-10, the IGT team will be present at the 28th edition of this ever more prestigious IIJS and will be available to hold private meetings, both at the show, in Mumbai and at the Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ), where many of Mumbai's leading diamond and jewelry firms have factories and production units. After a week in Mumbai, the team then will travel to New Delhi where from August 11 to 14 they will meet with yet more representatives of companies that are headquartered in this northern city.

The IGT team’s visit to India comes on the heels of a number of reports in the U.S.' business media and the daily press, all which reported that the market is witnessing a steady climb in prices to buy and lease real estate in New York City.

“Those who plan to lease office space in Manhattan within the next five years will be struck by a dramatic increase in prices,” said Joseph Lipton, partner in the IGT project. “Even during the economic slump, the New York City real estate market is expanding, as rental fees continue to rise and new construction projects prices are on the up. And that will only accelerate as the economy recovers,” Lipton added.

“Our last visit to India dates back to October 2010,” Gabe Menkin, Senior Sales Director at Extell Development, recalled. "It was good trip then, and I am sure our upcoming visit will be successful too. As office space in the Tower is filling up rapidly, we’ll be keen to meet with interested companies throughout India so they may not miss out on this great real estate opportunity.”
