Illimitée

The Illimitée project involved the creation of a corporate identity for an exclusive ring design by Israeli jewelry designer Jacques Lindenman in cooperation with the Israeli diamond company Ovadia Diamonds.

In the Spring of 2006, Jacques Lindenman had a ready-made ring design, but he and Ovadia Diamonds needed us to "tell the story of the ring." That meant creating a brand name, marketing materials, and a marketing communications program, all of which needed to be ready before the JCK Las Vegas show that takes place annually in early June.

The Illimitée — that's the name we came up with for the design — is a ring of ingenious design that empowers a woman to express herself as she sees fit. Removable settings, which are clipped above an 18K white gold ring and fastened with a diamond-tipped pin, enable the wearer to transform the jewel from a solitaire into a variety of three-stone diamond and colored gemstone creations (see illustration).

Within the scope of little more than two months, MDBC, in cooperation with Yahalom Creative Solutions Ltd. created a complete branding and marketing program around the Illimitée. This included the naming of the design, the creation of a logo, marketing brochures and folders, a website, a design for the trade show booth space, the acquisition of databases of North American jewelers, pre-show mailings — snail mail and email — to carefully selected target communities and so forth.

Since the Illimitée's launch in 2006, Lindenman and Ovadia have gone from strength to strength with the product. Their partnership has opened several jewelry stores in North America that are based on the illimitée brand.
